LS 354W Developmental Biology 4
Developmental processes and patterns of form and function in multicellular organisms, particularly animals. Emphasis on molecular, cellular and environmental factors regulating gene activity, cellular differentiation, and pattern formation during various developmental sequences. Descriptive, comparative and experimental lab activities focus on chordate embryology, specifically gametogenesis, fertilization, cleavage, gastrulation and organogenesis. Prerequisites: BI 140, BI 141 and BI 311; junior standing. Fall semester. Annually.
